People make Explore. We are a different kind of public service with collaboration at the heart of all that we do. Our mutual model means we are owned by our staff and community members. We aim to be shaped by communities and we actively seek to understand and respond to their priorities.

Our Annual Review 2022-23 shows you how we did just that. We shared the joy of reading, we challenged imaginations, and by bringing people together we connected communities and supported wellbeing. We want to say a big thank you to those who helped to shape our story –  our staff, volunteers, friends, community members, supporters, partners, donors and funders.

When you read our Annual Review we hope you will agree that libraries and archives aren’t just places to read stories, they are places to make stories. This is the next chapter in our Explore story.
