The Nameless Children and A Waggoner’s Lad: Two stories in words and music
The Nameless Children: A gothic tale of the supernatural. Told through original songs and words, with tunes played on the hurdy gurdy. “In the beginning there was soil. In 2015, four children emerged from the grave where they were buried in the 1800s, without ceremony and without a name.” Written and performed by Toni Bunnell.
A Waggoner’s Lad: This is the fascinating, sometimes poignant, story told in words and original songs by David Swann. It tells of his Grandad, Charlie Swann, an East Yorkshire Wolds Waggoner, from being hired at a local Hiring Fair to volunteering for The Waggoner’s Reserve and his life at the front in France during the WW1.
